Elm Ridge Society

Elm Ridge SocietyAlton Memorial Health Services Foundation has been the recipient of a number of generous estate gifts. While we are happy to be remembered in a will, we feel a sense of regret that we didn’t have the opportunity to personally thank the donor. If you have arranged to include Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation in your estate plans please let us know.

We have established the Elm Ridge Society to recognize individuals who have remembered Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation in their wills. Elm Ridge was the childhood home of our founders, Eunice Smith and Ellen Hatch, and our Hospital sits on the beautiful grounds that were once their home. We are the keepers of their legacy, even as we foster that legacy for the future. By including the Hospital in their estate plans, members of the Elm Ridge Society are creating a legacy for future generations.

Templin Scholarship Fund

When local resident Roger Templin died in 1976 at the age of 103, he remembered Alton Memorial Hospital in his will by leaving $1 million designated to nursing education. Over the years, thousands of nurses and nursing students have benefitted from his generosity.
